Choose the sequence for your watch
Release order is a useful default for a first encounter because the films reveal characters and connections in that order. Chronological rewatches can be interesting later, but they may expose information that was originally a surprise. Decide which experience you want before choosing a long sequence.
Four Avengers team-ups
The Avengers collection runs from The Avengers through Age of Ultron and Infinity War to Endgame. The individual hero films remain separate choices. This collection is a focused sequence, not a claim to contain every connected appearance.
Shorter runs
The Venom trilogy and The Equalizer films offer more compact choices. The Lord of the Rings collection keeps its three principal films together. Toy Story lets you revisit earlier chapters before continuing to a later adventure. Open each title for the edition and runtime rather than estimating the whole evening from the franchise name.
Keep availability separate from order
A service may offer a later film while missing an earlier one. That does not change the sequence of the story. Save the entries you want, then compare their viewing options individually. For series, use the programme's season records and a checkpoint instead of treating a season as a film sequel.
